Scott is one of our directors, born and raised in Wollongong. In 2004 Rob and I decided that if we did this so well for other builders, why don't we do it ourselves? A Class Building was born.
Scott mainly runs the office, scheduling and helping run some of our sites and organising trades. In Scott’s spare time, he loves to get away with his family, camping in the caravan, riding a motorbike, and taking the boat out if he gets a chance.
Rob is one of the directors here at A Class Building. He was born in Scotland but moved to Australia in 1985.
You will normally find Rob on-site at the beginning of a job up to his waist in the mud, getting the foundations right. He loves getting through the work and supervising our trades to ensure our jobs run on time and the quality is 2nd to none.
Rob's passion outside work is running and competing in highland games-heavy events. He just can't get enough of it. If he has any other spare time, it's on the motorbike or fishing on the boat.
Joel started with a class building in 2010; he moved down from Lithgow for the warmer weather and to be closer to the ocean. Joel came to us as a carpenter wanting to build on his skills. He worked on several projects in one of our teams. Joel is organised, loves to engage with clients and works with our subbies to achieve the best possible result. When he’s not working, he loves to skate, surf and is a huge fan of free diving.
Beau started his carpentry apprenticeship through us back in 2015. He continued to finish his apprenticeship and work as a tradesman for a number of years.
Beau then decided to start his own carpentry business. Beau now has his own family, so decided it would be a better decision for the time being to come back to Aclass to allow more time with his partner and daughter and get more experience on the type of projects we build. Beau is a hard worker and now has a different insight to all the other aspects of building that go on when you have your own business. Beau likes to get out on his motorbike and surf.
Sam started with us in 2021.
He saw an opportunity at Aclass and thought he would be a perfect fit.
Sam has proved to be a great asset to our team. He works closely alongside our foreman and Rob to help deliver amazing projects to our clients.
When Sam's not on the job, you will probably find him down at the local skate bowl.
Max originally started his apprenticeship with a Sydney-based builder but got sick of those long days of travel from the gong. He saw an advertisement for an apprentice Carpenter and applied for a transfer down here to Wollongong.
Max is hard-working and not scared to get in and get dirty... He loves working locally now so he has more time for camping and getting outdoors.
Max is our school-based apprentice who finally got to start full-time with us this year. Max loves working alongside our carpenters helping him learn the trade. He is always asking questions and is very inquisitive about why things are done a certain way which is great. Max enjoys mountain bike riding when he's looking for some downtime.
In the unlikely event anything is ever wrong, we guarantee to be there.
We have built across the Wollongong region for over 15 years.
“A Class team are great at what they do. Scott and Rob go above and beyond on all their jobs while delivering amazing work. Would Highly recommend them for any construction work. Great service, knowledgeability, skill, attention to detail and value.”
List of awards we've achieved in the last few years from Master Builders Association of NSW and Regional Excellence in Building Awards.
